Poe Influenced?

This was a very well drawn sequence. Minor twists are still twists worth taking in. The heartbeat, the bird (thought it was a raven), the implications, all superbly strung together. I thought it was alluding to E.A. Poe's Raven poem, but I may just be dense.

This flash just has the perfect feel to it. Reminiscing lends itself ti reliving emotions and I think this flash captures her memories of him perfectly.
